Al manages all aspects of Laramie Energy's day-to-day accounting functions, a role he also held in Laramie I. In addition, he oversees the Company's financial reporting, tax compliance, human resource administration, and insurance matters.
Al has over 37 years of accounting and management experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Laramie I in early 2005, he was Controller or Vice President – Finance of many of Denver's leading independent oil and gas companies that have flourished and been acquired by larger companies as the local industry matured, including: Evergreen Resources (now Pioneer Natural Resources), Mallon Resources (now Blackhills Corporation), Consolidated Oil & Gas, Inc. (now Chesapeake Energy Corporation), Associated Natural Gas, Inc. (now DCP Midstream Partners), Decalta International Corporation, and Western Crude Oil, Inc (now Shell Trading).
Al began his accounting career in 1970 with a predecessor of Ernst & Young LLP and spent eight years in public accounting before shifting to industry.
Al graduated with a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Adams State College. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of C.P.A.s, Colorado Society of C.P.A.s, and COPAS - Colorado.
